Who this is between

This agreement is between you and Rashid Alnaqbi General Trading, Abu Dhabi, the maker of Muraqib. Installing or using Muraqib means you accept it.

What you may do

You may install Muraqib on any computer you own or use for your own teaching. One licence key is for one teacher, and works on two of your computers at a time. Removing the key from one computer frees its place for another.

What you may not do

Do not share, sell or publish your licence key. Do not sell or give away copies of Muraqib. Do not take the app apart to build a competing product.

Your data is yours

Everything you enter - pupils, marks, notes, registers - stays on your own computer, in a folder the Help menu shows you. Rashid Alnaqbi General Trading never receives it, never stores it, and cannot read it. Text you type yourself into an optional AI request box is different: clause 7 says where it goes. You may export or delete all of it at any time. Uninstalling Muraqib leaves that folder and its backups in place, so a reinstall finds your work again; delete the folder yourself to remove everything.

The PIN locks the app, not the file

The PIN stops someone opening Muraqib. It does not encrypt the file on the disk: anyone who can sign in to your computer's user account, or take its disk, can open the file and read every name and mark in it. Protect the computer itself with an account password and with BitLocker or FileVault.

What leaves your computer

Nothing about a pupil, ever, from your register. Two requests go out on their own. When Muraqib is online it asks GitHub, where its releases are published, whether a newer version exists; that request carries no data from the app, and an update is installed only when you choose. If you have added a licence key, Muraqib sends the key and a random ID for this computer to a server run by Rashid Alnaqbi General Trading on Cloudflare, so one key cannot be shared across many computers. The key carries the name it was issued to and an order number, and the server keeps that computer's ID beside the order number until you remove the key from that computer. Like any website, these servers see your computer's internet address. GitHub and Cloudflare run their servers outside the UAE, including in the United States, and so does Anthropic, the AI service in the next clause.

AI drafts, only if you switch them on

A version of Muraqib may offer to ask an AI service for a draft, such as a draft of the week's lesson plan. Any such feature is off until you switch it on, and the screen where you switch it on says exactly what is sent. Muraqib never takes a pupil's name, code, mark, label, attendance or support plan from your register for it. What you type into a request box yourself is sent as you typed it, so do not type a pupil's name there. The request goes to a server run by Rashid Alnaqbi General Trading on Cloudflare, which passes it to Anthropic's Claude API and is written and configured to keep neither the request nor the answer, with its logging switched off. Anthropic handles it under its own commercial terms, outside the UAE, and may keep the request and the answer for up to 30 days; Muraqib has no zero-retention agreement with Anthropic. Nothing an AI writes enters your plan, your records or a report until you put it there.

Your judgment, not the app's

Muraqib records what you enter and drafts text from it: comment starters, report wording, reminders on the dashboard and, where switched on, AI drafts. These are suggestions to read, change or discard, not decisions. You remain responsible for every mark, attendance entry, comment, support plan and report you keep or hand to a parent, a colleague or your school, and for checking anything drafted before you rely on it. Muraqib does not replace your professional judgment or your school's procedures.

Free stays free

Everything you record yourself is free and stays free. A licence key only adds the documents Muraqib writes for you. If a key expires, every pupil, mark and note you have saved remains yours and remains readable.

Backups are yours to keep

Muraqib makes backups on your device. Keeping a copy somewhere else is your responsibility. A lost or damaged computer means lost data, and Rashid Alnaqbi General Trading cannot recover it.

Not the official record

Muraqib is a teacher's tool, not your school's official record. Keep whatever records your school requires.

Updates

Updates may add, change or remove features. Muraqib tells you when one is available and installs it only when you choose to.

No warranty

To the extent UAE law allows, Muraqib is provided as it is. Rashid Alnaqbi General Trading does not promise it is free of faults, and is not liable for lost data, lost time, or any loss that follows from using it. The most you can be owed is what you paid for the current licence period.

Ownership

Muraqib, its name, its design and its code belong to Rashid Alnaqbi General Trading. A licence key buys the right to use the app. It transfers ownership of no part of it.

If the terms are broken

The licence ends. Your data stays yours.

Changes

These terms may change for new licences. The terms you accepted stay in force for the period you paid for.

Law

These terms follow the laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Abu Dhabi decide any dispute.
